Huskers volleyball was edged at Maple Lake Thursday in three sets.
The Irish took the match 25-13, 25-15 and 25-10. Holdingford never really got into its attack, although it had a number of people putting down the ball.
Marissa Gerads led the team with five kills and Callie Kostreba and Carolynn Becker both had four kills. Jenna Scott provided chances with 16 sets, and Jordyn Patrick and Rilee Hohbein each had three kills. Hohbein each had three kills. Scott herself took advantage of sets from Courtney Thielen and Becker for two kills.
But for the most part Maple Lake kept Holdingford in check. Led by Gerads (8 digs) the team did have 24 digs. Gerads also served in an ace.
The Huskers host BBE in their Dig Pink Night Thursday and host Royalton on Tuesday.
