Alex Lange ran his season record to 20-4 going unbeaten and winning the 170 championship of the Paynesville invite Jan. 11.
Lange was one of eight Huskers to win matches at the event. All eight competed in the finals round.
Tate Lange, 160, also reached the championship round before his last match. He earned second. The division was unique in that it had two Huskers wrestling. Blake Sigler finished third in the contest.
Another Lange, Drew, 106, was the third-place winner in his division as Sam Harren (182) finished his day with a pin to take third place. James Welle, 152, wrestled for third, but finished in fourth place.
Earning fifth place were Cohl Clear, 113; and Max Secord, 182, who claimed fifth with a 12-0 major decision. Clear's loss in the wrestle backs was to Zack Wilke of Grand Rapids who is ranked eighth in Class AA.
Alex Lange had two points on the day, including one in the 170 championship. Sigler had the Huskers' only technical fall winning 16-0 in the wrestle back quarter-finals. He also had a pin in the wrestle back semi-finals.
There were some tough matches for a few of the Huskers.

Holdingford result: 106: Drew Lange - 3rd 15-11 won 8-7 (TB), lost TF 5:23 21-5, won 4-2, won by pin 5:45.
113-Cohl Clear-5th (2-2) lost by pin 4:53, won by pin 2:40, lost 3-2, won 3-2.
145-Michael Miller (7-3) lost by pin :38, lost 7-1.
152-James Welle-4th (9-4) lost 8-4, won by pin 1:47, won 8-5, lost 8-5.
160-Tate Lange-2nd (10-9) won by pin 3:56, own 11-8, lost by pin 43. Blake Sigler-3rd (11-13) lost by pin 1:40, won TF 16-0 4:17, won by pin 3:45, won 7-4.
172-Alex Lange-Champion (20-4) won by pin :58, won 3-1, won by pin 3:18.
182-Max Secord 5th (9-12) lost 3-2, bye, lost 13-7, won 12-0 (MD).
