Grade: Senior
Parents: Eugene and Michelle Ostendorf
Accomplishments: I was captain of the cheer team. I've lettered in band, jazz band, cheer, and weight lifting. I've also been awarded student of the quarter for music.
What do you like most about cheerleading? My favorite part of cheer would definitely be interacting with the crowd and supporting the team throughout the game. Making memories is what it's all about.
What is your position on the team? As a captain, I teach the team all of the cheers in the beginning of the season, and lead the team during the cheers at the games.
Tell me about your most memorable game you've ever been a part of. The most memorable game that comes to mind is my senior year homecoming. It's so precious to me seeing everyone come together as a community to support the football team. The cheer team also has a bunch of elementary girls come to do cheers with us, and it's so adorable to see their faces light up as we're doing the cheers.
What are some other activities you are involved in at Holdingford High School? Chamber Singers, cheer, jazz band, peer helpers and p4t.
What had been your favorite high school class to date? Explain. My favorite class by far is my human anatomy and physiology class this year. We learn everything about the body, and we have a wide variety of hands-on activities including dissecting a fetal pig.
What is your favorite event at school? I love prom and post-prom because everyone gets to dress up and get all fancy and enjoy their night with their classmates. Oh, and we get prizes.
What is the best advice you've ever received? "You'll always regret what you didn't do rather than what you did."
What are your future plans? I plan on going to college to become an orthopedic nurse.
