Holdingford claims top spot in Maple Lake

The Holdingford Huskers boys track and field took first place at the Maple Lake Lions Co-Ed Relay Meet April 25 at Maple Lake High School in Maple Lake.
The meet included a five-event co-ed running competition.
The boys team finished first with 102.93 points, the girls fourth at 65.94 and the Huskers took third with 37 points in the co-ed events.
There were six teams competing in the diverse track and field showcase.
BBE Lions meet
Both Holdingford teams finished first at the BBE Lions Meet April 23 at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa High School in Belgrade.
The boys scored 204 points, with Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball taking second at 167.
The difference between first and second for the girls was closer, with the Huskers scoring 154 and Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball 150.
The Holdigford boys finished first in the 100, 400, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 4x100 relay, triple jump, pole vault and discus.
For the girls competition, the Huskers finished first in the 100 hurdles, long jump and shot put.
